The
National Science, Technology and Innovation Festival (NSTI) not just elevates the thinking, but enhances skills and knowledge of students to meet the demands of the future. The festival is returning for its third edition under the UAE’s Ministry of Education to encourage creative thinking and solutions driven by children. Last year’s event saw over 30,000 visitors attend the event. If the young ones are into live science experiences and technological innovations, they’re going to enjoy this upcoming event.
Kids will also get to meet star YouTuber and Vine star Zach King on stage for some one-on-one time with the magic video celebrity. They can also take part in different workshops, including the Nikon kids’ photo club, chocolate-making with Mirzam, LEGO brick-building, paper quilling, Dumye doll-making, Arabic stamp-crafting and more. Young ones can live the adventure at the Aventura, which will have loads of surprises in line with the science theme.
Foodies can have their favourite treats with food trucks available. Young athletes can get moving at the sports zone, where they can climb some walls, jump on the trampoline and have a laugh at the human soccer table. The Science Festival’s outdoor cinema is going to play family movies, and those who would like a more immersive experience can head to the VR zone. Parents can find a selection of home-grown products at the bazaar before joining the children at the maze. Right from free concerts, a talent show and live cooking demos, to some seriously cool edutainment activities, one must check out the National Science, Technology and Innovation Festival for UAE students’ contributions to the future and a fun day out.
This year’s NSTI is bigger and better than ever before. Along with a conference and science fair displaying scientific projects
by students, the week-long event has a programme of arts, entertainment, sports, a children’s play area and unique activations. Celebrities will make grand appearances .
This festival is free and open to the public, encouraging local communities to witness the ingenuity of the UAE’s students and their contribution to the future. The conference and science fair require pre-registration but are also free.
Dubai’s biggest National Science, Technology and Innovation Festival is taking place daily from 16:00 – 22:00 – starting January 31 and running until February 4.
