A “gemstone” in Dubai, Hōseki is
a Japanese restaurant. This is a minimalist restaurant located in The Bulgari Resort & Residences Dubai in Jumeira Bay Island.
Diners can have an exceptional gastronomic treat by Chef Masahiro Sugiyama. With only nine seats, dining at Hōseki is a distinctive Omakase experience, the most traditional way to savour Japanese food which means “I leave it to you”. After arriving through a special Tokonoma, or entry room, guests can give a treat to their palates and allow the chef to serve treats. Chef Sugiyama serves his various courses on the preferences of those seated at the counter, along with the freshest and best ingredients of the day. At Hoseki, no two meals are alike, every single one is a special journey into the heart of Japan’s culinary tradition.
The dining room is attractive and overlooks the Dubai skyline, so that each intimate dinner is accompanied by a glittering view. For groups, there is a private dining room that seats up to twelve.
Located on the 4th floor of the magnificent Resort, Hōseki is open for lunch and dinner and reservations are required. Hōseki, meaning “gemstone” in Japanese, the restaurant is super-exclusive with spell binding views overlooking the Dubai skyline and it uses the finest ingredients imported directly from Japan. The dishes are selected and then created a tailor-made experience. Depending on their palate and seasonal Japanese ingredients, the chef serves his own interpretation of famous dishes using the finest selections. Diners are welcomed in a traditional attire by Japanese hostesses who wear kimonos.
The unique setting is ideal for a romantic dinner for two or a special occasion with a group of friends. For larger gatherings, the restaurant offers an intimate and bigger seating capacity with the private dining room which hosts 12 guests with a 360 degree view over the Arabic Gulf and Dubai’s skyline.
