Holi Festival 2020: where to celebrate in the UAE

Gear up in a white tee and enjoy Indian festival Holi! Great food and lots of fun too.

Get set for the colourful celebrations at this year’s Holi Festival, which is going to be celebrated on Monday March 9 to Tuesday March 10. However, the UAE will be covered with a variety of colours throughout the month, and there’s a lot going on to keep everyone occupied. Right from beach parties to big bashes throughout the emirates; get to all these places to celebrate one of the biggest Hindu festivals out there.

Khalifa Park Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Park will be all bright with lighting up for Holi with the Colours of Friendship event. Be a part of the event and you can enjoy live dhol music, traditional Indian food and drinks, a rain dance and more to celebrate the season. Dhs25. Fri Mar 6, 10:00 – 15:00. Khalifa Park.

Namak by Kunal Kapur Celebrate Holi with a special menu created by chef Kunal Kapur. Dubai AKS Colour Carnival The place will be buzzing as witnessed last year with more than 10,000 Holi celebrators attending AKS Colour Festival 2019. Once can sure expect this year’s to be grand affair. With promises for it to be bigger and better each year, celebrators can expect live DJs spinning the decks, including DJs Beatz, Gautam, Manoj, Nitesh and international DJ Notorious along with spectacular carnival acts and Dhol players. Get to enjoy the grub at food trucks, a kids play area and even an adults play area, so the whole family can have fun. Beach Holi Celebration at Dubai Creek Park One of the biggest beach Holi celebrations in the region – enthusiasts must check it out. Head to Dubai Creek Park for live DJ acts from DJ Nikin and DJ Jason, Punjabi music, colours and water guns to splash everyone with, as well as delicious food stalls and a kids play area for the little ones to have fun in. Holi at IMG Worlds of Adventure Dubai’s trendy theme park is presenting in big-time Indian rapper Divine and the Gully Gang to celebrate this year’s Holi Festival. Get set to rap along to some of his biggest hits, and Celebrate colour with rain dance, more DJs and Bhangra Dancers during the day. Holi Beach Party at JA Beach Hotel A fun filled and colourful party on the sand is going to come to the JA Beach Hotel, and guests can expect the usual flare and vibrancy coming from the annual festival. Al lset to take place on Friday March 13, the mega colour festival will kick off at 10:00 with some massive beach vibes throughout the day, and an even bigger bash at night through until 10pm. Rang Masti Holi Colour Bash DJs, food stalls, colour splashes are all the fun part of this festival at a Holi extravaganza! The Rang Masti Holi Colour Bash offers it all for just Dhs20, with thrilling live tunes to groove to by live DJs, food stalls to munch around and, of course, plenty of colour to throw around. Sharjah RANG UTSAV Beach Holi Celebration Sharjah’s only Holi celebration is going to be organised at Lou’lou’a Beach Resort for the third year in a row, is ideal for an easy family day out. Colours and water guns are provided for all, and there are plenty of live entertainment and kids activities to enjoy. Enjoy the festivities! Dhs30 (adults), free (kids under ten).
