Children’s City is a science-based learning playground that makes education fun for children. It is made up of a series of exhibits that cover different disciplines, from galleries on Earth and global cultures to the human body and the local environment. Children’s City regularly designs themed weeks for children to explore unique topics through film screenings and interactive workshops.

The Children’s City

was developed by the Dubai Government to create an engaging learning environment for the UAE’s future generation. The show features the Earth Sciences Gallery, Planetarium, an exhibit on the human body, and other interactive educational displays that introduce children to different sciences with an innovative approach. Children’s City is a fun place for everyone including kids. The Dubai-based play zone is the first educational city in the UAE designed for children between the ages of two and fifteen. Children can investigate, explore, play, discover, learn about the world in which in we live and at the same time have great fun. Children’s City is a three storey building located next to the Creek Park and is open 7 days a week.

The City is specially designed for children to interact and discover together in family and school groups. It comprises of several exhibits and programs on applied sciences, nature, space exploration, human body, local and international culture as well as a kid’s corner and a planetarium.

Children’s City presents daily educational workshops throughout the year at the different galleries or in the purpose-built halls and entertainment programmes at the Children’s City Theatre for school students, children and families.

Play Space is a huge play area where children get a chance to build a house or bridge, recycle rubbish or take part in a factory production line. Many other areas including Planetarium Zone helps children to learn while testing out space equipment. Children will never get bored at Children’s City with numerous activities to participate in, and even adults can enjoy spending time. Children can get up close and personal with the animal world with the help of models resembling various creatures. If anyone is interested to know more about technology, they can have a look at super-size computers and various methods of communication to try out.

There is something for travel enthusiasts, helicopters to look at, aircrafts and many vehicles including cars.

There’s something for everyone; each area contains interactive features where children can actually get involved, encouraging learning as they go along the little city. For those who are looking to take a break and relax a bit, there is a branch of local fast food joint Malik Burger on the ground floor that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They can order their favourite ice-cream, candy and snacks and sweet treats.
