Transforming Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s arts space into a “modern stage for digital art”, the Theatre of Digital Art Dubai (ToDA) features artworks from the likes of Claude Monet and Wassily Kandinsky. This is presented in partnership with Vision Multimedia Projects and using advanced technologies and clever storytelling, the digital art project brings culture, art and science together for truly immersive experience. Those who have watched Emily in Paris on Netflix, the experience can likened to Emily’s trip to the Van Gogh exhibition.
ToDA is the first of its kind in Dubai and offers art aficionados in the UAE the chance to experience masterpieces from some of the world’s most renowned artists via digital shows accompanied by stunning music, visual effects and surround sound.
Its current exhibition “From Monet to Kandinsky: Revolutionary Art” is showing daily until the end of the year. Tickets can be booked via the ToDA website and prices start from Dhs45 for kids and Dhs75 for adults for regular tickets and Dhs75 for kids and Dhs150 for adults for balcony tickets.
After the successful global tour across 11 cities in countries including Germany, Russia, Thailand and Saudi Arabia, the exhibition has attracted over 1.5 million visitors and showcases nine celebrated artists and portrays the most important art movements of late 19th and early 20th centuries led by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky and more – prepare to be immersed.
In the upcoming months there are set to be several exhibitions featuring traditional and classical art, plus a contemporary digital art section, an area for kids with interactive exhibits, a virtual reality area, and more – watch this space for updates.
