Namu Dubai includes the typical Japanese dishes such as spicy maguro maki, a sushi encompassing tuna, jalapeno, cilantro and yuzu pearls, and the dish is presented on charcoal plates, with the ingredients and flavours. The famous Namu steamed bun comes wrapped with Wagyu short ribs dressed in ssam jang sauce (a spicy gravy used to dress grilled meat in Korean cuisine) and white kimchi – which is cabbage seasoned in a hot sauce.
A genius interpretation of the traditional steamed bun are soft and steamed, giving a nostalgic feel – similar to the memories of steamed pork buns served in Singapore. The dish is presented in an attractive traditional steam rattan basket. The recommended dessert includes – Japanese mochi – which is three mochis – coconut, vanilla and chocolate flavours – divided into half and served with a single Japanese daisy. This is a signature menu item. Namu offers value for money.
