Din Tai Fung

Those

who have had a meal at the Din Tai Fung in Mall of the Emirates at lunch or dinnertime will know how trendy the Taiwanese restaurant is. Their team is efficient and operate wearing mics to communicate with each other. They are quick to ask about the number of diners and give a buzzer and allows people to shop until a table clears up. The wait is generally 45 minutes.

The Al Ghurair Centre branch is cosy and a lot quieter. Fans of the restaurant can see the noodles and dim sum being made fresh in front of them by chefs. Their branch in Dubai Mall offers the new site for Din Tai Fung with fountain views. The outlet will have an al fresco area with Dubai Fountain views. Diners can listen to Andrea Bocelli while relishing dumplings.

Din

Tai Fung brand dates back to Taiwain in 1958, and opened a restaurant in 1972. Din Tai Fung’s soup, dumplings and noodles are great. Xiao long bao are the most popular dish on the menu: steamed dumplings originate from Shanghai, and are packed with meat as well as a small amount of hot soup. Their “house speciality chilli noodle”, a warm bowl of fresh noodles are served with a tangy, spicy sauce. This is comfort food at its most preferred. Din Tai Fung company behind Din Tai Fung in Dubai, Chinese Palace Group, have just opened a licensed venue in the Aloft Hotel in Deira City Centre. They also serve menu includes curry crab roe soup dumplings, steamed bao with molten chocolate lava, duck congee and truffle and egg-fried rice. They open from 11:00 to 02:00 from Sunday to Wednesday (and until 03:00 from Thursday to Saturday).
