Dapoer Kita
(Indonesian for “Our Kitchen”) opened its doors on 1st July 2012. The famous restaurant is inspired by the rich cuisine that offers authentic Indonesian oreprations, Shinett Turalaky bought her love of the culinary arts to the city.
In December 2017, Shinett’s journey took a change of course when she had to go back to Indonesia. Taking over, new owner Eva Sabir, took the responsibility and now continues this culinary journey – with a lot more to offer. The New Dapoer Kita promises the best Indonesian Food from the Indonesian Islands! According to CNN’s World Food Survey, the world’s top favourite dishes are : Rendang, Nasi Goreng and Satay.
Rending is fresh beef chunks cooked in coconut milk with spices and mild red chilli, it is delightful. Satay is chicken or lamb barbeque-grilled meat served on skewers with peanut and sweet soya sauce. Nasi Goreng is fried rice served with satay, cucumber and carrot pickles, egg and crackers. Dapoer Kita has all of the dishes cooked daily and served from the best fresh produce.
Their buffet is exceptional; it also delivers fresh daily cooked food! Some of their dishes such as rendang benefit from a day or two of marination and preservation, and some meats are dried before they serve – as it enhances the flavour! Everything is authentic to Indonesian culture. Other than rice, noodles – there are one of the most chosen food
accompaniments to the main dish. The ingredients are vibrant with sweet soya sauce and optional chilli.
