New Greek
restaurant to open in Dubai this year. Acclaimed chef Costas Spiliadis is launching a restaurant at The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences.
Those who love Greek food have a new place to binge, a brand-new Mediterranean seafood concept by Estiatorio Milos, is coming to Dubai city. The restaurant will serve Mediterranean and Greek fusion food and is due to open in late 2019, along with Atlantis The Palm’s sister hotel, The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences. Managed by chef Costas Spiliadis, the restaurant is going to open three private dining rooms, and rooftop and terrace, along with spacious room for 220 indoor seats. The awe-inspiring interiors will also feature a structure which “appears to ‘float’, and will be “fully transparent”.
The restaurant will have six-metre high ceilings and stunning Greek marble floors, along with sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors that will offer views of The Royal Atlantis’ water fountains as well as the Dubai skyline.
The restaurant is very popular in the US. Spiliadis opened the first Estiatorio Milos in Montreal in 1979, and has since opened others in New York, Athens, Las Vegas, Miami and London. Suitable for a family and large gatherings, the restaurant will serve dishes including fresh catch of the day, grilled or baked in sea salt to concentrate the natural flavors – a Milos signature. They will also have a raw bar featuring Greek wild oysters, sashimi and tartares. Other signature dishes include paper-thin, fried courgette and aubergine slices over tzatziki and kefalograviera cheese. Guests can relish a selection of mostly Greek and Mediterranean grape, with over 300 varieties available.
“Dubai has become a premier culinary and hospitality destination; with the world’s most talented chefs and well-regarded brands represented”, said chef Spiliadis.
“The Royal Atlantis is an ideal partner in our efforts to expose the world to Greek cuisine, highlighting the most exquisite ingredients and classic preparations.”
