Carine

Chef Izu Ani

named the restaurant Carine after his wife, he opened at Emirates Golf Club, Dubai.

A treat for foodies, Carine serves up a selection of Mediterranean dishes that are delicious. The chef, who is well-known from his term at some of the city’s top restaurants including La Serre and multiple is excited to launch this new venue. Carine looks impressive and sophisticated, located in the space that held Le Classique – which shut last in 2017 after 29 years – Carine has a fresh, new look as it’s been completely revamped with massive windows and contemporary furnishings. The restaurant promotes diners to relax and unwind, visit with family and friends while enjoying exceptional food. Chef Izu says the two foremost loves in his life are his wife and bread, and Carine celebrates both, the restaurant serves Carine’s favourites.

Carine serves a mouth-watering selection of French Mediterranean inspired dishes and exceptional cocktails in a menu curated by Dubai’s one and only Chef Izu Ani. Carine was initially open daily for dinner, each experience is exceptional.

Featuring modern décor and an unpretentious French charm, Carine is simply phenomenal, with an atmosphere that is sunny and bright and welcoming service. It also offers an expansive terrace with fabulous views of the golf course and Dubai’s famous skyline.

Chef Izu Ani himself offers the personal touch; the restaurant is filled with all of Carine’s personal favourites from freshly baked breads inspired by the bakery she used to work in in Northern France, to her own homemade plum and apple jam. They serve Mediterranean specialities and delicious desserts –

the passionfruit cheesecake is out of the world. Guests keep coming back for beautifully seasoned crispy calamari, creamy burrata, citrusy tuna carpaccio, fragrant harissa prawns and a tarte flambée bursting with sweet smoky onions. Plats Principaux, meanwhile, includes a range of inventive fish, meat and pasta dishes – the lobster linguini is a saucy, silky number.

Mixology offers region-specific cocktails incorporating special selections of herbs, shrubs and bitters for special cocktail-paired dinners. The place is great for relaxed family dinners to romantic date nights and large gatherings with friends.
