Representing 1930s glamour, Shanghai Me is ideal for chic dining or post-work drinks. DIFC is an ideal place to visit and it’s all set to get even better with an influx of brand new restaurants and bars in the area.
Asian restaurant Shanghai Me is all set to open in DIFC in October. The concept was apparently inspired by the “glamour of 1930s Shanghai”, it’s promising “decadent detailing and aromatic cuisine”. Interiors come from architect Michele Bonan and will be art-deco. The new restaurant is all set to be launched in The Exchange building in DIFC and will boast a bar and lounge, bamboo-filled terrace and private dining area. The team will ensure entertainment with a late-night DJ to keep the party going. A combination of East Asian flavours will be served at Shanghai Me. The new restaurant comes from Bulldozer Group, the team behind BASE and GAIA among others.

DIFC has a few new spots that will be launched this winter, as luxury bar A.E.R. is due to open next week. Standing in the space that formerly held 7 Elephants, the lounge offers a 100ft bar and spacious outdoor terrace.
