Burj Al Arab is a dream come true for diners. “AL IWAN” the Jewel place is great to dine at night. The food is traditional and uncomplicated. The décor is designed in rich hues that are bold, gold, red and black, resplendent and grand. The venue is Al Iwan with brilliant simplicity and ultimate luxury that showcases the best of a wide range of Arabic food. Right from the cheapest hole-in-the-wall dives to the most expensive restaurants it seems to be compulsory to present hommos with a puddle of olive oil in the middle and a few whole chick peas floating in it, and paprika stripes around the edge. It is served in fine gold, burgundy and white china instead of the same old brown and white melamine bowls. The team really appreciated the fact that despite the venue being so upmarket the food had not become pretentious.

Video recording is also prohibited. o Please note that participants may not go to any floor in Burj Al Arab that is higher than that of the restaurant. o Please note that during Ramadan and religious holidays, alcoholic drinks will not be served.
