Transactions worth Dh2.54b in Dubai |

Dubai The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week reached Dh2.54 billion, of which sales exceeded Dh1.4 billion, a statement by the Land Department said.
The total value of mortgages during the period was Dh1.13 billion.
A total of 59 sale transactions were registered with the department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot on Palm Jumeirah that was sold for Dh222.32 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Jebel Ali acquired for Dh50 million and another in Al Jadaf for Dh36.89 million.
The Emirates Hills-3 area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with seven transactions. Nad Al Sheba followed it with six sales.
During the period, Palm Jumeirah recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dh225.13 million, followed by Nad Al Sheba area, Dh134.55 million, and Jebel Ali area, Dh107.73 million.
The biggest area sold was 507,402.39 square feet in the Palm Jumeirah area, which went for Dh222.33 million. A 6,6736.37 square foot plot in the Emirates Hills-1 area was acquired for Dh3.67 million, while 42,003 square feet of Shaikh Zayed Road was disposed of for Dh20 million.
During the period under review 60 mortgages worth Dh463.47 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dh250 million for an area at Al Mina. There was another for Dh35.02 million on an area in Al Warsan-1.
Apartments and villas in freehold areas witnessed the registration of 345 sales transaction out of which 326 were for apartments for a total of 307.39 million and 19 for villas at a total sum of Dh39.94 million.
A total of 50 mortgages for Dh405.68 million were registered on villas and apartments.
