Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, the UAE's Minister of Cabinet Affairs, yesterday issued a statement on the country's 37th National Day.
"In our celebration of the 37th National Day today, I am honoured to send sincerest congratulations to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Supreme Council members and all UAE nationals.
"It is our right today to celebrate the National Day and the achievements of the past 37 years. It is also our duty to take lessons from the successful years. We thank God that we have had a great leadership, which has achieved within a few years what other countries and people have not been able to achieve in several decades.
"When we look today at the safety, stability and prosperity of our lives, the respectable position of our country in the world, the worldwide reputation of our people, the position of our state in all international economic and human indexes, the UAE's inspiration to developing countries and our efficiency in dealing with challenges, we become more proud of our leadership and have a bigger commitment to their vision and approach, and a resolution to be up to their expectations.
"I call on all UAE nationals to work and excel in every field to meet the expectations of our leadership and return the favour to our nation, which has given us a lot and waits for many things from us." |
