The 2007 GM's conference took on a Middle Eastern flair with Dusit Dubai hosting the annual conference. 40 delegates braved the summer sun to spend 4 days discussing the future initiatives of Dusit International and the challenges facing the tourism industry.

It was particularly pleasing that the conference took place in Dubai to coincide with the recent confirmation of the new Middle Eastern developments and allows the Dusit International team to observe the dynamic developments and the rapid expansion of the hospitality industry in the vibrant city of Dubai.

The conference opened with a welcome cocktail reception, a Middle Eastern theme, and Arabian cuisine. Guests dined and were entertained by a belly dancer that had everyone on the dance floor.

An evening was dedicated to travel trade suppliers and media, as Dusit Dubai organised a trade show for the General Managers and Top Executives of the various Dusit Hotels & Resorts where they met with the buyers in Dubai. Arrivals to Thailand from the Middle East rose last year and are posed to increase over the coming year.
