The Global Water Congress, organized by naseba, a leading international business information company, is taking place on October 26th - 27th, 2008 at the Raffles Hotel and will showcase water management solutions and innovative technologies.
The event is endorsed by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), addresses key water issues, and gathers industry leaders and specialists.
The Global Water Congress will focus on water generation, conservation and wastewater. DEWA has established an Environmental management system in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard and has recently commissioned the preparation for Green Buildings to a private consultant. In line with the resolution issued on implementation of Green Building specification by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, DEWA will be enforcing regulations to achieve the same, through various phases.
Regional authorities including the Ministry of Environment and Water-UAE are planning ambitious programs due to the rising concerns harming the environment and the sustainability trends. 'The region's water consumption is rising at a very fast pace making UAE the biggest consumer of water resources. We are hosting the industry experts from all across the world to discuss these key issues and innovative solutions to meet future demands.
