The Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) established in January 1997. The mission of DTCM was to position Dubai as the leading tourism destination and commercial hub in the World.
the DTCM has two main areas of responsibility. The first of these includes all the functions of the former Dubai Commerce and Tourism Promotion Board (DCTPB), which had been in existence since 1989 and concentrated on the international promotion of Dubai's commerce and tourism interests. The DTCM's second main area of responsibility is as the principal authority for the planning, supervision and development of the tourism sector in the emirate.
As part of its marketing role, the DTCM plans and implements an integrated programme of international promotions and publicity activities. This programme includes exhibition participation, marketing visits, presentations and roadshows, familiarisation and assisted visits, advertising brochure production and distribution, media relations and enquiry information services.

One Stop Information Center (OSIC) One Stop Information Center (OSIC) provides comprehensive Information related to tourism & commerce marketing of Dubai.
One stop Information Center play following important role:

OSIC collect, compile, store, retrieve and disseminate information relevant to Dubai's tourism and commerce.

To compile statistics relating to Dubai's hotels and hotel apartments.

OSIC research and provide information for all DTCM publications.

OSIC Provide back-up information to all DTCM staff for overseas exhibitions, inward missions, meetings, press conferences, press releases etc.

OSIC maintain the Department's library Tasks include compiling lists of upcoming development projects; airport passenger statistics; visa statistics; foreign companies listings; foreign trade statistics etc.
Inward Mission The Tourism and commerce department hosts numerous missions for high-level government delegations. This section arranges meetings for the missions within the Department and with outside bodies and this is usually done within one week and these meeting are to be confirmed by Missions, at least two working days before the fixed date of the meeting. During the visit a representative from Missions accompanies the mission throughout the meetings. The section also arranges for meet and assist service at the airport in accordance with Visitor Information Bureau's Procedures
Business Development: Under this services following activities are formed-

Developing DTCM rules and regulations to ensure safety and comfort of visitors.

Developing DTCM rules and regulations to organize and develop the tourism sector.

Monitoring tourism developments and other issues analyze the impact and report to the Director General.

Act as a liaison between the tourism community and the DTCM and other government departments

Utilizing Professional Groups for enhancing relations with the DTCM constituency;

Acting as advocate for tourism sector with the other government departments; Improving the DTCM communication with the Dubai tourism sector.

Assist other DTCM departments in developing non-promotional new projects.
