Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Contract Workshop From : 22 April 2009
To : 23 April 2009
Venue : Dubai, U.A.E.
A contract is basically the agreement between parties
to carry out their respective obligations, and a
successful contract leads to a long-lasting partnership
between businesses. In an engineering, procurement
and construction (EPC) contract, the EPC contractor
will deliver the completed project to the owner for an
agreed amount set during the establishment of the
EPC contract.
The EPC way of executing a project is gaining
importance worldwide, particularly in the Middle East.
Nonetheless, a good understanding of what makes a
good EPC contract is crucial for an excellent contract
execution. As it happens, agencies try to shift the
blame to other parties, making coordination difficult.
This is made harder during commissioning and
post-commissioning times, as each agency tries to
correlate their performance with others. Without a
clear EPC contract and a good management system,
communication channels get overlapped, short
circuited and confused.
This training workshop will provide directors and
senior managers from the engineering, construction,
oil & gas, energy, utilities and transport, among others,
a platform to meet and discuss issues pertaining to
their EPC contracts as well as to improve on current
practices. In addition, this workshop also provides
delegates with excellent networking opportunities and
a chance to exchange opinions on how to best deal
with the current issues faced in EPC contracting.
