Al Badia Golf Resort is one of
the exciting components of the Dubai Festival City mixed use
development. Dubai Festival City sees a golf course within
a residential community,
Al Badia Golf Resort is to have iconic clubhouse and academy
overlooking the 9th and 18th greens and spectacular waterfalls.
The Al Badia Golf Course has eleven lakes of varying sizes
and several smaller streams, all feeding water down to Dubai
Creek. 'Rivers of Sand' have also being created to cast contrasting
shadows, which fall across the course as the sun sets.
'The academy's elevated public areas will offer magnificent
night views of both Dubai city and the golf course.' said
Phil McArthur, Director Leasing & Marketing, Dubai Festival
City.
The clubhouse is designed in a wrapping form of golden roofs,
stone and blue glass culminating in a central atrium, where
an interior oasis is planned. There will be extensive water
features throughout. The lower roofs sweep around the terrace
providing shade and the use of palm trees perfectly matches
the Al Badia theme which translates 'Land Of The Bedouins.'

This golf course is a stunning
new course to add to the Emirates and Dubai Creek golf courses
also situated in Dubai. It is always making you think about
whether you take the easy option or to be brave and take the
210 yard drive over the water. This is by far the best golf
course I have ever played and I think it will compete with
Emirates and Dubai Creek in the near future.
