Wild Wadi Water
Park (Dubai)
Wild Wadi Waterpark is a water theme park located in the city of Dubai, United Arab
Emirates (UAE) that covers an area of 12 acres and comprises of
24 adrenaline- pumping state-of-the-art rides and slides.
Wild Wadi is located on located in the rural area of Dubai, known as Jumairah,
along the Jumeirah Beach Road. It is situated next to the
Jumeirah Beach Hotel
and
Burj Al Arab hotel,
approximately a 20 minutes drive from the center of city.
This water park was
designed like an Arabian wadi (oasis) with characteristics from
Arabian folklore and has rides and attractions, many of which interconnect.
Once you enter the Wild Wadi water theme park, you will be given
access to all the water rides, as well as the use of rubber rings,
lifejackets and body boards. The water park has 90 lifeguards on
duty, keeping you safe while you are having fun. Wild Wadi's variety
of rides suit kids of all ages, make it a favourite water sports
area in Dubai.
The Rides at
Wild Wadi
Jumeirah Sceirah - This ride is the tallest and fastest free-fall
water slide outside of North America. Rising to 33 meters (108 feet)
and thrusting riders up to 80 KMs per hour, make it a great experience
for thrill-seekers.
Master Blaster - With
8 Master Blaster slides in Wild Wadi that are described as uphill
water roller coasters, where riders can sit on either a single or
double ring, which are propelled uphill by high-powered water jets.
Ring
Rides - Wild Wadi Dubai contains 7 Ring Rides that are
described as downhill gravity slides, where riders sit in either
a single or double ring sliding down fast to the bottom of the slide.
Other Rides - The other
rides in Wild Wadi Dubai, include Flow Riders, Juha's Journey, Breaker's
Bay, Juha's Dhow and Lagoon, Wadi Wash, and Flood River Flyer.
Timings
The Dubai Wild Wadi Waterpark opens daily at 11am, but has different
closing hours throughout the year. In January, February, November
and December it closes at 6pm, while in March, April, May, September
and October it closes at 7pm. During the summer months (June, July
and August), Wild Wadi closes at 9pm and Thursday is an women's
only day.
Rates (Prices)
The pricing of tickets at Wild Wadi Dubai are Dhs. 150 (US$ 41)
for everyone above 1.1 meters (3.6 feet), while those under 1.1
meters will be charged Dhs. 125 (US$ 34). Pick-up and drop-off services
are available for people staying in Dubai for a fee of Dhs. 15 (US$
4.25) per person, with a minimum order of 2 guests.
In addition to the entrance fee,
a Dhs. 20 (US$ 5.50) charge is applicable for renting a towel or
a locker. For individuals staying either at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel
or Burj Al Arab, you will have free access to the Wild Wadi Water
Park. The cost of a 500ml bottle of water at the Wild Wadi Water
Park is Dhs. 7 (US$ 2).
